We animals have long been recognized for our comforting presence and innate ability to provide emotional support to humans. From therapy dogs to emotional support animals, we have proven to be invaluable partners in promoting well-being and nurturing personal growth.
We know how challenging humans’ life can be! That is why Thera-Paws offers animal assisted intervention & mediation services to a variety of people, from the young children to the seniors. We animals know how to provide a calming effect to benefit the humans struggling with various mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders and depression, social emotional skill deficits and stress.
Our mission is to sooth the mind, nurture self-esteem, and to support humans in developing the tools that they need to deal with their life situation and internal struggles, through joyful and meaningful activities.

About Our Human
Fanny Buerki is the human who lives with us, feeds us, walks us, brushes us… well, she’s alright! She is a trained animal interventionist and educator living in the hills close to Boise, Idaho. Originally from the mountains of Switzerland, she graduated from the International Zootherapy Institute (Institut de Zootherapie International) in Quebec, Canada. She practiced animal mediation with various people and institutions, both in Europe and in the United States since 2006. We worked with her in different parts of the world to support children, adult and seniors through life changes and challenges, bringing fluffy happiness!
